Alexandru Grajdean Named Mercury Safety Employee of the Month, March 2026

Alexandru Grajdean of SA3 Power has been named Safety Employee of the Month for March 2026 by main contractor Mercury Engineering.

  • Award: Safety Employee of the Month
  • Period: March 2026
  • Presented by: Mercury Engineering
  • Recipient: Alexandru Grajdean, SA3 Power
  • Setting: Live, multi-trade data centre project

The award recognises his commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards on site, which is critical in the live, multi-trade data centre environments where SA3 Power teams work.

What the award recognises

Mercury’s Safety Employee of the Month certificate is presented to individuals whose dedication makes a real difference to safety. In Alexandru’s case that came down to:

  • Consistency: working safely every day.
  • Awareness: spotting risks early and dealing with them before they become a problem.
  • Leading by example: setting the standard for colleagues.

Client recognition for SA3 Power teams

Alexandru joins a growing list of SA3 Power employees honoured by clients on site, alongside the company’s record of more than 500,000 hours worked without a lost-time injury. See all Employee of the Month winners and client awards or read about the company’s approach to health and safety.

Safety in live data centre environments

Many data centre projects are built in phases, so new halls are installed alongside parts of the campus that are already live. That brings additional risks: energised systems nearby, strict access controls, and the need to avoid any disruption to running operations. Working safely in these conditions depends on careful planning, isolation procedures and constant awareness of the surroundings.

  • strict permit-to-work and isolation procedures;
  • clear segregation between live and construction areas;
  • careful coordination with the client’s operations team; and
  • constant awareness of other trades working nearby.
