SA3 Power Visits Data Centre World at Tech Show Frankfurt 2026

SA3 Power’s procurement and operations team travelled to Data Centre World at Tech Show Frankfurt, one of Europe’s major events for data centre infrastructure.

  • Event: Data Centre World, Tech Show Frankfurt
  • Date: May 2026
  • Team: Danielle Thomas (procurement) and Theo Oprea (operations)
  • Also: Site visit to a live data centre project in the Frankfurt region

The visit was led by Danielle Thomas from procurement, supported by Theo Oprea from operations.

Why the team attended

For an electrical contractor delivering mission-critical projects across Europe, a strong supply chain directly affects how safely, quickly and reliably work is delivered. The event gave the team the chance to:

  • strengthen relationships with key suppliers;
  • explore new and emerging supply chain partners;
  • see the latest innovations in data centre infrastructure; and
  • gain insight into evolving products, standards and delivery methods across Europe.

Supplier relationships

UNI ELEKTRO Fachgroßhandel hosted the team for an evening during the visit. SA3 Power operates an offsite manufacturing facility in the Frankfurt region and delivers data centre electrical installations across Germany and Europe.

Why procurement matters on data centre projects

Data centre programmes are fast moving, and many key electrical components, such as switchgear, busbar, cable and containment, can have long lead times. Strong supplier relationships help contractors secure materials on time, respond quickly to design changes and avoid delays on site. Meeting suppliers face to face at industry events is an important part of building those relationships.

Frankfurt as a data centre hub

Frankfurt is one of Europe’s largest data centre markets, supported by major internet exchange points and strong demand from cloud and colocation providers. SA3 Power works on projects in the region and operates an offsite manufacturing facility nearby, allowing components to be prefabricated before delivery to site.
