Two relay teams made up of staff from SA3 Power and its sister companies Meteor Space and Canary7 have raised £1,500 for Charis Cancer Care after taking part in the Belfast City Marathon Relay.
- Event: Belfast City Marathon Relay
- Teams: Two relay teams from SA3 Power and sister companies Meteor Space and Canary7
- Raised: £1,500
- Charity: Charis Cancer Care, Cookstown
Charis Cancer Care is based in Cookstown, County Tyrone, close to SA3 Power’s head office.
Two teams, one cause
The runners, from across the three sister companies, split the 26.2-mile route between them through the streets of Belfast. With two teams on the course there was plenty of friendly competition, but every runner was raising money for the same local cause.

About Charis Cancer Care
Charis Cancer Care offers free support and complementary therapies to people living with cancer, and to their families and carers. Funds raised help keep these services available to people across Mid Ulster and beyond.

Cheque presentation
Following the race, Claire from Charis Cancer Care visited to accept the £1,500 cheque and thank the runners and everyone who sponsored them in person. Find out more about SA3 Power and its roots in County Tyrone.
How the marathon relay works
The Belfast City Marathon relay allows teams to share the full 26.2-mile marathon route, with each runner completing one leg before handing over to the next. It makes the event accessible to people with a wide range of running experience, which is one reason it is popular with workplace teams raising money for charity.
Supporting the local community
SA3 Power’s head office is in Kildress, near Cookstown, and many of its staff live in the surrounding area. Supporting local charities such as Charis Cancer Care is a way of giving back to the community the business has grown from.
